The Social Action Committee of Beth Emet, along with LifeSource, is holding
our Annual Blood Drive in the Herman Crown Room on Sunday, March 21, from 8 a.m.
until 2 p.m.
He who
saves one life … is as if he saved the entire
world. (according to the Talmud Sanhedrin 37a). By giving
blood, you can save three lives* as you perform the mitzvah of
Pikuach Nefesh.

In general, you can donate if you:
* Are 17 years or older.
*16 with
signed parental consent form.
* Are in good health.
* Weigh at least 110 lbs.
* Have not donated in the last 56 days.
Beth Emet offers bagels and cream cheese, coffee and juice, the Sunday paper
(copies of the New York Times and others available), and the
opportunity to schmooze with
other members while you are in the Herman Crown Room for the drive. LifeSource
also provides goodies, like apple and cranberry juices, bottled water, cookies (oreos,
animal smackers), pretzels and popcorn.
Win Cubs Tickets. Get a free Chair Massage. LifeSource and its partners have
been particularly generous to us this year. Anyone participating on Sunday,
March 21, is eligible for a drawing for two tickets to a Cubs game this season.
Also, there will be free 5-minute chair massages
If you cannot donate blood, you can help by asking
others, not only members of this congregation, but friends and colleagues, to
participate.
Email Blood Drive Chair Andrea
Lubershane for any other questions.
