Ozerim (Helpers) Committee: Based on our tradition that all Jews are responsible for one another, Ozerim connects with members who are older, physically challenged, or living with extended illness. Our volunteers help in several ways, including: · Providing rides to medical appointments, services, and synagogue functions · Leading shiva minyans · Cooking and delivering meals · Visiting congregants who are hospitalized With a large contingent of volunteers who are called on a rotating basis, these important mitzvot are accomplished without overburdening anyone. These acts of kindness are rewarding to the volunteer as well as to the congregant in need. If you would like to join our Ozerim volunteers, or if you know someone who might need our help, please contact the synagogue office.
