Hebrew School

Rhonda Mlodinoff, Director of Education
Erin Frankel, Cantor

Our Hebrew School provides a Hebrew language instruction program which enables students to feel Jewishly literate at home and in the synagogue. Beth Emet's Hebrew School program is a nurturing learning environment in which students develop a positive Jewish identity through the knowledge and use of Hebrew.

Beginning in third grade, students study Hebrew one hour each Tuesday and Thursday in a nurturing learning environment. The program includes extensive study of liturgy, some conversational Hebrew and is required for children who plan to become b'nei mitzvah.  The B’nei Mitzvah program includes extensive study of liturgy with the Cantor.

Parents can alternatively choose to learn Hebrew together with their  2nd and 3rd grader for one additional hour on Sundays after Sunday school.  If 3rd grade families choose this option, then those students attend without their parent on only one mid-week day in addition to the Sunday hour.
