This class begins with parents and students engaged together in the classroom, developing into a gradual separation experience with sensitivity to the needs of each child. When children feel secure in the class, parents/caregivers begin to leave. As children engage in classroom activities, teachers actively facilitate and support the burgeoning social and emotional development of each child, with a focus on building trusting relationships, supporting pro-social skills, and providing a nurturing first school experience.
