Rachel Goldberg is excited to serve us in her first year as Director of Youth Programs. Rachel has served as the adviser to our three youth groups for the last two years and has also taught in all of the 7th-10th grade education programs that she will begin managing this year. More importantly, Rachel is looking forward to building upon the relationships she's established in our community and continuing to serve as a mentor and trusted adult for our youth.
Rachel is an Evanston native with program management experience with several other organizations in the area. This experience includes two years as the Part-Day Preschool Coordinator at the McGaw YMCA Children's Center; four years of experience as the Site-Director for Evanston Arts Camp where she designed creative adventure programs, public art opportunities for children, and collaborated with the Evanston Community Media Center and other city agencies; and three seasons of outreach art programming for girls at inner city schools in Chicago. She received her Bachelors of Arts in History from the University of Iowa and also received a Secondary Social Studies Teaching License.
Rachel brings to Beth Emet a unique passion for spirituality, art of all kinds, and a commitment to teaching and learning through compassion. Rachel looks forward to continued personal growth with us here at Beth Emet.
