Sharon Ephraim, President

Sharon has been a member of Beth Emet since moving to Evanston in 2002. Originally from Providence, RI, Sharon came to the Midwest to attend graduate school at The University of Chicago, earning an MBA in finance to go with the liberal arts degree Sharon received from Connecticut College. She began her career at Continental Bank, followed by a 10-year stay at a fleet leasing firm. Sharon is currently the Senior Director and Treasurer at Wrightwood Capital, a real estate finance company in Chicago.

Sharon has been actively involved in Beth Emet through participation in Kahal as well as Rabbi London’s spirituality group. In 2005, Sharon was a member of Beth Emet’s Adult B’nai Mitzvah class. She served for three years as Treasurer of the Congregation, and formerly served as the Treasurer of the Beth Emet Foundation. She is married to David Kite and they have two children, Aaron and Ariel, both of whom participate in Beit Sefer and are alums of our Early Childhood programs. Sharon’s free time is spent on family, reading and sports-related activities (and, of course, Beth Emet).
