Rhonda Mlodinoff

Rhonda Mlodinoff has been Director of Education since July of 2005, after returning from a year in Jerusalem studying at the Senior Educators Program at the Melton School at Hebrew University.  Prior to Rhonda's year abroad, she had been the director of early childhood education at Beth Emet since 1987, expanding and overseeing the flourishing preschool programs. She also advocates to congregational leadership on behalf of families with children, and coordinates programming for holiday celebrations.

Rhonda is actively involved in Jewish education beyond Beth Emet. Through the Community Foundation for Jewish Education (CFJE), she designed and taught the two-year teacher training course for the Child Development Associate certificate, helped create and implement the Chicago Early Childhood Kehilla Accreditation Manual for Jewish early childhood programs. She is an active lay leader for the Coalition for the Advancement for Jewish Education (CAJE), and a member of its early childhood committee.

Rhonda received a B.A. degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, a M.S.W. in social work from the University of Illinois, and an M.ED. in education from the Erikson Institute at Loyola University.
