Tzedek Tzedek Tirdof: Pursuing Justice

Progressing, in the pursuit of Justice at Beth Emet 5772 

During the past several months we developed and distributed a survey to ascertain interests and involvement of Beth Emet members in 5772. 

The survey reflected many social justice issues that keep us awake at night. It included a wide range of fields: healthcare, world Jewry, the public economy, environmental sustainability, the sociology of race and ethnicity, as well as LGBTIQ and disability rights. We are still evaluating the strong results and it is not too late for you to fill out the survey by clicking here.

So far, we have received responses from adults and our youth with ideas for actions, for classes, for advocacy. Some members have been willing to volunteer to plan an action while some most importantly are willing to take the lead in an actionable event. 

In addition to thanking everyone who responded to the survey, we would also like to remind each of you of upcoming events:

• Friday, May 25: Ellen Blum Barish will take part in our Fourth Friday Speaker Series.
  Friday, June 8: Celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Beth Emet Tzedakah Fund.
